The goal of this project was to create a hand tool that serves on of three functions: stir, scoop, or scrape. I chose scoop and decided that I would design a multi-functional spoon for coffee grinds.
Project statement:
To create a multi-use spoon that can both scoop up coffee grinds and clip the bag shut once finished.
The prototype was a 3D printed spoon that was sanded down and coated with paint and a clear coat.
The scoop measures out to be exactly two tablespoons. This measurment is significant because to make a standard 6oz cup of coffee, it requires two tablespoons of grinds. The user can slip the scoop off, scoop up exactly two tablespoons, and slip the bag up when its done.
