This project was a multi-disciplinary project with groups consisting of both Industrial and Interior design students. The goal of this project was to design an experience for the 2020 Dubai Expo using one of three themes: Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunity.
Our first poster was designed by me. The purpose of this poster was to present our  research in the form of an infographic. Using the theme of mobility we decided on a project statement: "To use various shapes and forms to promote smarter movement of knowledge, ideas, and goods to create a new world of possibilities."

Sketches composited from all group members

After we decided on a project statement the next step was to dive deeper into our concept. We chose the concept of a neural network and how neurons quite literally move thoughts and ideas. This concept lead to the form of our experience to resemble a neural network.
Our initial experience concept was originally just the geodesic spheres on the poles. The idea was that people moving through our space would touch these metal poles and they would release a beam of light that connected to the next module. This form was later changed because the space did not inform our concept in a way that made sense.
After brainstorming we came up with the idea of our modular neural dome. the form was meant to be derivative of neural network photos. This change in momentum allowed our group to pivot quickly and rethink our experience as a whole.
The final form was decided on and we began to physically model our experience. The initial rendering of the final form shown above.
Final perspective renderings of our experience were done by me in Fusion 360.
